Sims stuff from Charlie

A smörgåsbord of delights including downloads, details of projects, moaning, and other stuff to do with how I play the sims.

I own sims 1-3, as well as the sims and the urbz for the gamecube, and also sims 2 and sims 2 pets for the DS.

I primarily play the sims 2 on mac, with Nightlife, University, Open for Business and SIms Glamour Life Stuff.

My game is also heavily modded and filled (literally; I have had the game crash many, many times because I'm overzealous) with custom content.
DAMN IT.

Ok it wouldn’t be the death of me, but it would kill dead a constant gaming obsession I have had since the very first sims came out in 2000. I was seven and I honestly haven’t stopped playing the game in it’s various forms since.
One of my ‘comfort books’ (books I read when I’m triggered/having a meltdown that are soothing in their familiarity and don’t really require concentration or anything) is the Official Sims 2 Prima Game Guide.
I don’t know, part of me feels pathetic but the rest of me acknowledges that the sims was a constant, reassuring escape through some of the worst times of my life.

Oh LORD I thought it was just me going “—!!! ASSHOLE!!!” in my head whenever someone annoys/upsets me or “++ you are great” when someone’s nice. I also heartfart like hell.

Mostly this. Sims is actually binary gendered and I wish it wasn’t limited to that because real people are not. It also plays with the idea that female = woman and male = man. I think parts of the Sims community try to make up for it though, which is one of the reasons I love a lot of the Sims community.
Maybe one day, and it would be better if it were sooner rather than many many years from now or never, they’ll push those cultural boundaries like they used to when it was MAXIS who were mostly in charge.

sims 3 version would be fantastic
There’s a p. good tutorial here that tells you how to convert “female” clothes for “male” sims.
I don’t play the sims 3 (though I do own it) so I’ve not tested this, but other people seem to find it works fine. Sadly I know of nothing that lets you do the reverse.

WHO WANTS TRANS SIMS IN THEIR SIMS 2 GAME?
Because I have trans sims. I have a lot of trans sims. And a lot of the content for them, I make myself.
And I was thinking, maybe some other people would like trans sims too.
SO, this is me testing the water.
I want to make a post, or a series of posts, where I not only upload content I’ve made, but include links to the content and paces to find content I use a lot of, such as ‘female’ hair for male-assigned-at-birth-sims, ‘male’ hair for faab sims, and really useful stuff like the unlock-facial-hair-for-all-sims mod you can see modelled on Desdemona (brown hair) and Alan (ginger hair) up there.
So who’s interested? Anyone?
Ok I made a new blog b/c I hardly think its fair to inundate you all with mundane sims stuff unless you opt into that, haha.
